EFPI aims to facilitate the discussion of ideas among importers about the promotion of wood flooring in Europe, to share information about EU legislation, standardisation and issues concerning international trade for the parquet industry.

In particular, EFPI’s objectives are:

• To define, promote and represent the industry of parquet (timber floors) importers in Europe;
• To provide a European voice for the industry towards a range of audiences including European and national decision-makers, standards associations, EU media and European consumers on issues related to European legislation and standards;
• To increase awareness of legislative issues concerning parquet imports at European level and making it an issue of EU concern and action;
• To encourage and develop common definitions and to establish guidelines and standards for the industry;
• To encourage input in appropriate standard bodies and other relevant fora;
• To provide a forum for discussion for issues of industry concern;
• To act as a source of information and advice towards members;
• To collate and distribute statistical information and data on the industry.
